Tom Ganley For US Senate!

Ohio, like the rest of the Country is hurting economically.  I believe that the solution to these problems is the FairTax.  Unfortunately we have very few co-sponsors in the US Senate.  I am very happy to report that a candidate for the US Senate has come forward that supports and will fight for the FairTax.  That candidate is Tom Ganley and he is running to represent the citizens of Ohio in the US Senate.

Ganley, a businessman from Cleveland, is also a very solid Conservative.  He is pro life, pro 2nd Amendment, and he stands for less government and more personal responsibility.  Tom Ganley will be a Senator The Buckeye State and the rest of the country can be proud of.  That is why I am very proud to endorse Tom Ganley to become the next US Senator from Ohio!  I hope you will take some time to visit his website, become a supporter on Facebook, and follow Tom on Twitter.

VIDEO – Mike Huckabee Endorses Marco Rubio In Florida US Senate Race!

The following video is Governor Mike Huckabee’s official endorsement of Speaker Marco Rubio in next year’s Florida US Senate race.  I could not agree more with Governor Huckabee.  Speaker Rubio is a strong, principled Conservative.  We desperately need that kind of leadership in the US Senate.  Speaker Rubio will be a leader the Sunshine State, and the entire nation will be proud of!

David Shafer For GA State Senate (District 48)!

I first met David Shafer on stage at the FairTax Rally in Duluth, GA last November.  I have been impressed with him ever since.  Even though he does not represent me in the State Senate we have become friends and he has given me advice and assistance whenever I have requested it.

David Shafer has represented the 48th Senate District (parts of Gwinnett and Fulton Counties) exceptionally well.  He has introduced legislation to establish zero-based budgeting.  He has also supported legislation in the Senate calling for a state FairTax, and protecting the rights of the unborn.  He is a very strong conservative and represents traditional Georgia values.  Therefore, I am extremely proud to endorse my friend David Shafer for re-election to the Georgia State Senate!

Rex Rice For Congress (SC-3) 2010!

It is my honor and privilege to announce my endorsement of Rex Rice For Congress!  The Current Representative from South Carolina’s 3rd District, Gresham Barrett is running for Governor next year.

Rex Rice currently serves in South Carolina’s House and spoke at last weeks’ FairTax Rally in South Carolina.  He is a very strong supporter of The FairTax and was a proud supporter of Governor Mike Huckabee’s 2008 Presidential run.  He is a fine conservative and the 3rd District of South Carolina will find a man that they will be proud in.  In addition Mr. Rice is a true champion of the disabled and is standing strong with me as a supporter of the Can-Do Conservatives of America!

I hope my neighbors in the Palmetto State will recognize the strong leader they will have in Rex Rice.  Please visit his website and join his team.  I hope to be able to travel back into the Palmetto state later on and stump on his behalf.

HuckPAC Endorses Jim Tedisco, Joins Fight For NY-20!

This afternoon, HUckPAC has endorsed Jim Tedisco.  He is running for Congress from the 20th Congressional district.  They are having a special-election on March 31st to fill a seat vacated by a Democrat who was appointed to Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton’s Senate seat.  HuckPAC’s blog had this to say in its endorsement today:

Huck PAC is pleased to endorse Jim Tedisco, New York Assembly Minority Leader  for the 20th District Congressional Seat in New York.  Jim is an outspoken conservative who has a record of standing up and fighting for the interests and values of the voters.  Jim has led the fight in the New York Assembly for tax relief, a real property tax cap, a stronger economy, more jobs and a better quality of life.

Jim Tedisco is a pro life candidate who has spoken out for the values he shares with his constituents and for the middle class families of New York.  He is also a strong supporter of our veterans.  He has supported expanded employment opportunities for veterans with disabilities, provided laws for a real property tax exemption for Cold War Veterans, and helped pass Patriot Plan I, II and II to assist veterans and their families in New York.  He will be a strong conservative voice in Congress.

I Am Proud to Endorse John Oxendine For Governor of Georgia!!

Last May, Georgia’s current State Insurance Commissioner, John Oxendine made waves at the Georgia State Republican Convention when he announced he candidacy for Governor while he voiced his extreme displeasure with Congress for failing to follow the leadership of Representative John Linder on the FairTax.  A few weeks later after doing some research I endorsed Commissioner Oxendine on my old blog.  Since I have imported that blog’s posts here you can find it HERE. I would like to reiterate my endorsement for Commissioner Oxendine right here and right now.

John Oxendine has been our State Insurance Commissioner since he was first elected during the Republican Revolution of 1994.  He became the first Republican elected to high state office in many years (if not since Reconstruction).  Ever since he has been one of the most popular Republicans in our state.  In his last two re-election contests he earned the highest amount of votes of any Republican on the ticket (winning many traditionally Democratic precincts).  Margin-wise it reminds me of the margins that Governor Mike Huckabee enjoyed when winning re-election in Arkansas.

If there is a dictionary definition for “Public servant” Commissioner Oxendine’s picture would accompany the term’s entry.  He keeps his office open past traditional business hours to serve the citizens of Georgia at hours that are more convenient to us.  He has also done the unthinkable – cut jobs at the office but increased productivity and efficiency.  On matters of insurance and other consumer matters he is highly praised time and time again for the job he has done.  I can only see great things for Georgia under his leadership.

Commissioner Oxendine is putting his job on the line running for Governor (he can’t continue to be insurance commissioner if he loses his bid for Governor).  One of the major planks in his platform is the FairTax.  He has not waited to be elected to work hard for us on this matter.  He has traveled across the country building support for limited constitutional conventions to get this true economic stimulus adopted.  There are already 16 states on board to follow Georgia’s lead once the language is agreed upon.  There is no other candidate in this race that is so committed to our cause in putting the “Going Out of Business” sign on the door of the IRS.

I can also say without hesitation that John Oxendine is the strongest conservative in this race.  He is unequivocally Pro Life and Pro Family.  He knows that the 2nd Amendment is crucial to defend our 1st amendment rights.  He is committed to stand strong to improve education, energy, health care, and our economy through innovative and effective means.

There are two other major Republican candidates at present for Governor in 2010.  One of them is Lt. Governor Casey Cagle.  He has not gotten along well with the General assembly and electing him may create a legislative log jam that would hamper our ability to grow and operate.  He has also been no friend to the FairTax thus far.  The other candidate is our current Secretary of State Karen Handel.  She announced her candidacy right before the session of the General Assembly began and the delay in its conclusion may force her out because compared to Cagle and Oxendine she has not raised any money.  The only State Republican convention before the election is this May and she can’t spend any money to promote herself by law there.  Therefore she is at a great disadvantage.  She has been a wonderful Secretary of State, taking strong stands against illegal immigration as it pertains to elections  However, she has only served for two years and I wish she would stay at her post for a little while longer.

Under Governor Perdue’s leadership for the past eight years, we have seen “Sonny” days and have moved in the right direction, compared to the days under Democrat Roy Barnes.  I feel that John Oxendine is our best chance to make Georgia a better state and a leader in the nation.  I feel he is the right man, for the right job, at the right time.  Getting to know him, follow him, and listen to him speak he reminds me of the kind of person and candidate I found in Governor Mike Huckabee in the 2008 Presidential race.  He is very real and speaks from his heart.  He’s already taken some unpopular positions in this race but like Mike, he won’t change based on the advice of paid staff or the direction of the political winds.

Therefore it is with great pride that I endorse Commissioner John Oxendine for Governor of Georgia!

Barry Goldwater Jr. Endorses John Oxendine for 2010 GA Governor’s Race!

With endorsements like this who would want to run against John Oxendine in the Republican Primary in 2010?

Goldwater endorses John Oxendine for Governor

Atlanta, Georgia – “I am proud to call John Oxendine a solid Goldwater Conservative, and I am proud to endorse him as the true conservative to be the next Governor of the great state of Georgia,” stated Congressman Goldwater. “Georgia has a very special place in the hearts of the Goldwater family.  We have always been proud that Georgia gave her electoral votes in 1964 to my father in his campaign for President of the United States.  I am therefore honored to support John Oxendine for Governor.” Like Congressman Goldwater, John Oxendine is committed to advancing the cause of liberty.

“I was very proud of my father, Senator Goldwater, and all he meant to the conservative movement.  Likewise, I was honored to serve with him in the U.S. Congress from 1969 to 1984,” Congressman Goldwater added.

Former Congressman Barry Goldwater observed that John Oxendine shares the core conservative philosophy THAT his father had – a government big enough to give us all we want is also big enough to take it away.  John Oxendine understands that conservatives have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient. They mean to reduce its size. That success is not defined by passing new laws, but by repealing ones that are no longer useful.
